The core idea is to depict a turtle in the desert at night, attempting to work out. Given how slowly turtles move, it takes a long time for him to make even the slightest progress. I wanted to capture both his frustration at not being able to move as quickly as he'd like, and the joy he feels from what he sees as a major accomplishment—his small but hard-earned movement in the end.
